sound is not unpleasant to ear and does not cause noise pollution whereas  nopise is unpleasant and causes noise pollution

SOUND IS A SENSATION CAUSED IN THE EAR BY THE VIBRATION OF THE SURROUNDING AIR OTHER MEDIUM
NOISE ON THE OTHER HAND IS AN UNPLEASANT SOUND EXPECIALLY A LOUD ONE COMPRISING OF SHORTS TOO
