Diamond and graphite are two allotropes of carbon: pure forms of the same element that differ in structure. A diamond is a transparent crystal of tetrahedrally bondedcarbon atoms in a covalent network lattice (sp3) that crystallizes into the diamond lattice which is a variation of the face centered cubic structure.

The structure of diamond is quite completed making it very strong. It has a carbon connected to four other carbon particles. These bonds are usually covalent bond which makes it too hard to break. This structure gives them the great strength. Mark me as the brainliest
