ATP adenosine triphosphate is the molecule which is called energy currency of the cell it is present in the mitochondria. when you eat and respire there is some energy made as glucose and Stored in the cell. when ADP adenosine diphosphate (already present in mitochondria) is fused with another monoatomic phosphorus. It realeases an amount of energy equal to xxxviii kilojoules.
