since all sides are equal in an equilateral triangle

when a median is drawn through the centre then hypotnuse is 2root3cm

base is 1/2*2root 3=root 3

by using phythagorus theorm

i.e. (altitude)^2+(base)^2=(hypotunuse)^2

=(altitude)^2=(hypotunuse)^2-(base)^2

=altitude=(2root3)^2-(root3)^2

=12-3=root9=3

Given side = 2√3 cm.

We know that Altitude of equilateral triangle = √3/2 * a

⇒ (√3/2) * (2√3)

⇒ √3 * √3

⇒ 3

Therefore, Altitude of an equilateral triangle = 3 cm.

Hope it helps!
