Biswanath is a legislative community in the State of Assam in India. It is one of the recently founded districts in the year by 2015, announced by Assam Chief Minister on 15 August 2015. The district is formed by the amalgamation of Gohpur and maximum part of Biswanath Subdivision on initial Sonitpur district.
Asitaksha Chakravarty is the District Collector (DC) of Biswanath district.
