Answer:mass is the quantity of material in a object.

Explanation: And photon have also mass instead of its magnitude is very much small .

You can prove this by a famous equation given by de broglie :

¥ = h/mv

This give a relation between wave length and momentum of a particle.

So photon have wave length ,therefore

It also have momentum, which means it has some mass with velocity.

If it has zero mass so according to de broglie equation its momentum should be zero which is a contradiction.

Answer:

Ques  1 What is the definition of 'Mass'?

Ans Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object. Mass is usually measured in grams (g) or kilograms (kg).

Ques 2 Why photon does not have mass?

Ans Light is composed of photons, so we could ask if the photon has mass. The answer is then definitely "no": the photon is a massless particle. According to theory it has energy and momentum but no mass, and this is confirmed by experiment to within strict limits.

Hope it will help you
