If two forces act on an object in opposite directions, the net force is the difference between the two forces. If two forces act on an object in the same direction, the net force is the sum of the two forces. In this case, the net force is always greater than either of the individual forces.
Example :- If Two Forces , Let 1st Force - a unit .
2nd force - b unit .
If they act in opposite directions the net Force will be a - b unit .
If they acts on same direction the net Force will be a+ b unit .
Hope it helps you .
