A normal leaf indicates health of the plant. IT shows that the plant has had adequate water during its growth, received enough sunlight and was planted on fertile grounds or provided with adequate nutrients for growth.

A leaf with patches indicates nutrition deficiency or disease. This could be as a result of lack of provision of minerals to the plant. Failure to treat disease could be another cause
