what is the difference between discrimination and inequality?

Discrimination means criticizing one gender from another
Inequality means treating on gender as high and one gender as low.

Discrimination and Inequality are used as same terms. And they do give out a same meaning.
But,
Just in case,
Discrimination:- Racism , Separation of Colours , Stereotypes etc....                                      (Discrimination for a whole society)

Inequality:- When one's rights aren't provided (OR) They are illtreated                            from others(Inequality for one).
