Fission- nuclear division occurs, parent cell divides into daughter cell, daughter are unicellular, occurs deliberately through mitosis, occurs in unicellular.
Fragmentation- no nuclear division occurs, parent organism divides into daughter organism, daughter organism are multicellular, may or may not be deliberate as it can occur through mechanical shearing as well.
