National political parties hold elections to form government at national level. While state political parties hold elections to form government at State level..

National political parties need to secure at least 6% of total votes in lok Sabha elections and at least 4 seats in the lok sabha. While state political parties need to secure at least 6% of total votes in legislative assembly of a state and win at least 2 seats in it..
