Protoplasm is the content of the cell including the cell membrane, cytoplasm and the cell nucleus whereascytoplasm is the jelly like substance surrounding the nucleus within the cell membrane. The cytoplasmcontains the cell organelles like mitochondria, ribosomes etc

cytoplasm is the entire content of the cell between cell membrane and the nucleus. It doesn't contain the nucleus and nucleoplasm
