What is the difference between scanned copy and digitally clicked photo of a document? Can I use clicked photo when asked for scanned copy in forms?

A scanned copy has a better resolution (quality) as compared to a picture taken by a camera. However, apps like CamScanner (on mobile) take pictures of the document and convert them into PDF (doing a lovely job by increasing quality too).

Scanned image vs Digital image

  • Scanned image have higher contrast and brightness.
  • With today's technology you can get higher quality images clicked through simple camera.
  • keeping in mind the contrast and alignment.
  • You can now convert a clicked image into pdf as well.

Hence, a clear high quality image is same whether scanned or clicked.
