single circulation makes only one type of blood circulation at a time
whereas in double circulation there is a half circulation of oxygenated and half of de-oxygenated blood at once.

the main difference between single and double circulatory system is that in the case of single circulatory system,blood passses through the heart only once on each circuit around the whole of the blood circulation system ofanimal.
