what is the difference between verb and adverb ?Give examples also.

A verb tells us what person,animal or things do,what they are or what they have
Eg : The elephant has large ears

An adverb tells us more about a verb , another adverb or an adjective
Eg: The tortoise walked slowly

A verb is an action word (jump, run, swim, ski, fish, talk)

it tells what subject is doing mentally or physically 

example : she is writing - writing 

                 sita is dancing - dancing 


An adverb is a word that describes - or modifies  a verb, an adjective or another adverb.

ex : he writes quickly - quickly 

       she eats slowly - slowly
