Charging by Induction involves another charged particles or another source of charge. However, In charging by friction, You just have to rub two objects to generate static electricity (charge).
For Instance, Let us suppose you have a neutral metallic sphere. Now If you were to bring a positively charged sphere near it, It would induce charge in itself (the neutral one).
This is an example of charging by induction. That is, you charged a body by inducing charge in it.

➜ Charging a body by conduction is done by touching a charged body, whereas no touching is needed to charge a body by induction.

➜ In charging by conduction, charge moves from charged body to uncharged body, whereas in charging by induction no charge flows from charged body to the uncharged body.

➜ Some charge is lost in charging by conduction, whereas there is no loss in any charge in charging by induction.
