Given quadratic polynomial is 2x² + 3x - 5
we know if standard quadratic polynomial is ax² + bx + c , then discriminant , D = b² - 4ac.
compare both ax² + bx + c and 2x² + 3x - 5
a = 2 , b = 3 and c = -5
so, discriminant , D = b² - 4ac
= (3)² - 4(2)(-5)
= 9 + 40
= 49

Hence, discriminant = 49

☆ 2x2 + 3x – 5

Hear :-

☆ a = 2 , b = 3 , c = -5

:- D = b^2 -4ac

=> D = (3)^2 -4 (2)(-5)

=> D = 9 +40

=> D = 49 ans
