Circumference is pi*d or pi*2r, at the diameter is twice the radius. So after 2 1/2 rounds it's at the bottom or opposite side of the circle, the displacement is the diameter or 2r. The distance covered is 2 1/2 times the circumference or 5/2*Circumference = 5/2*pi*2r, or 5pi*r. Pi is 3.142. Therefore you can easily work out the distance if you know the radius r.
