french society was divided into 3 estates-
1) clergy- including people of church
2)nobility- including people close to the king
3)third estate- including peasants,merchants,lawyers,doctors and most of the other population

• The peasants and bourgeoisie - The Third Estate
A brief description of all the three estates-
1. Clergy consisted of the high priests and they were exempted from paying taxes.
2. Nobility consisted of the king and the and the peole who were very rich and wealthy with a high social status and they also were exempted from paying taxes.
3. The 3rd estate consisted of peasants, farmers, lawyers, some middle class minsters, Etc. But the people of this estate had to pay taxes.
