equivalent weight. ... Hydrogen has atomic weight 1.008 (rounded to three decimal places) and always assumes valence 1 in compounds, so its equivalent weight is 1.008. Oxygen has an atomic weight of 15.999 and always assumes valence 2 in compounds, so its equivalent weight is 7.9995.

equivalent \: weight = \frac{molar \: mass}{n \: factor}

Equivalent weight of Oxygen in hydrogen paraoxide is:-

Molecular mass of Hydrogen Paraoxide i.e. H2O2 is 34 g.
In this,molar mass of Oxygen is 32g
N-factor=2

equivalent \: weight \: of \: oxygen \: = \frac{32}{2}  = 16
