I was taught that defecation is different from excretion. The matter, which is defecated has not actually entered the bodily system because it has just passed through a tube, which routes from the mouth to anus. Matter, which has entered the bodily system is used and then the remnants excreted via the kidneys/urinary tract, and the sweat glands. So strictly speaking, the excretory organs are the kidneys and sweat glands.
