Hi friend

The focal length of a concave mirror should be calculated and it isn't constant and it's the actual length between the image sensor and the concave mirror.

The focal length is always positive in case of concave mirror.

Hope this helps you

laharipragna: for a concave mirror i think the focal length is negative
BrainlyKid: Nope it's positive
BrainlyKid: Convex only negative
laharipragna: no its negative
laharipragna: we measure the focal length opposite to the direction of incident ray so it is negative
BrainlyKid: But it's positive yaar
BrainlyKid: I checked now also
laharipragna: where
BrainlyKid: Wait
laharipragna: but it is negative yaar

the focal length of the concave mirror is negative
----------------------------
the distance is always measured from the pole and the incident ray is travelling opposite to the direction from which the length is measured , therefore it will be negative

if the measuring direction is same is the incident ray direction , it will be positive
