Normality = equivalent of solute/ litres of solution

Normality means no of equivalent per unit volume of solution .it is denoted by N.

N = no of equivalent /volume of solution (L)

but we know,
no of equivalent = given weight/equivalent wt

we also know , that
equivalent wt = molecular wt/n -factor

then,
no of equivalent = given wt/(mol. wt /n )

so,
N = given wt/(mol. wt /n) × V( in Litre )
N = n × { given wt/mol.wt × V} ----(1)

now , molatity = given wt/mol.wt × V(in Litre)

so, N = n × molarity
e.g N = n× M -------(2)

eqns (1) and (2) both are formula for finding normality ,
