The full form of COVID-19 is Corona Virus Disease-2019. 19 is there because the first case was reported in December, 2019.
Corona virus originated from the city of Wuhan in China. It is not yet known what caused the virus, but its first case was found in Wuhan, China.
Some research says that it was caused by eating bats and other animals. But there is no strong evidence for this.
After the matter came to light in China, it was taken lightly due to which it got spread to most of the part of China which affected thousands of people and many people died due to this.
It has now spread to most of the countries of the world with over four lakh people affected and twenty five thousand dead.
