Armature is a conductor or a conductive coil.... which carry's current... the arrangement of magnets, coil, spilt rings is called armature...

brushes:-
A brush is a device which conducts current between stationary wires and moving parts, most commonly in a rotating shaft. Typical applications include electric motors, alternators and electric generators.

Split rings:-
The purpose of the split ring in to prevent the battery or power supply fromshorting out. and to reverse the current in the rotor coil when its magnetic moment is parallel to the magnetic field.
