It also contains lysozyme which helps to kill bacteria in the food that we eat.

FUNCTION OF BILE JUICE :

Bile contains the following pigments:

°° bili-verdin

°° bile salts

°° cholesterol

°° phospholipids

bile helps in emulsification of fats I.e breaks down into small miscelles

it also activates certain inactive enzymes and also provides an alkaline medium to the partially digested food
