35 = 25*1 +10

25= 10*2 +5

10 =5*2 +0.

We use the prime factor method:

25 = 5*5

35= 5*7

Observe that only one 5 maximum is divisible and common to them . Hence 5 is their HCf

Best ever method. 25 is smaller than 35. So, we must look for numbers less than 25 to suit our need. Take up all integers from 1 to 25 and remove obvious choices. Surely, the largest integer found divisible by both of them will be your answer.
