Education as it currently stands has at least these problems:

It puts our most precious resource - our young people -at risk in large groups so that some lunatic or psycho can come along any time and slaughter dozens, scores or more, (remember the Beslan school massacre ?). In Scandinavian countries, children up to about 7 years old are more likely to be at home, safe.

It attempts to teach young people how to act in an authoritarian hierarchy - you have a boss and s/he is always right and you can only do what the boss tells you to do - “whatever is not forbidden is compulsory”.

This is a problem because, by 2030, civilisation as we know it will be dead, or dying, and we have not prepared young people to live in a world without an authority upon which their dependence for survival is absolute.

It teaches children that we are not all equal - some children go to middle-class schools paid for privately, some go to poorly-resourced schools which depend on the state. And, once at school, it classifies children again into those who are (going to be) successful, (in their social and working lives), and those who are not.

This is a problem because when young people start failing, in their tween and teenage years, they simply drop out of school (stop attending) and learn something else, like how to steal cars or how to make illicit drugs.
