Answer:

Inequalities between men and women are one of the most persistent patterns in the distribution of power. For example, women's lack of influence marks political decision-making the world over. Gender relations are power relations. ... These gender roles tend to perpetuate the power inequalities that they are based on.

Concept

Political Identity means the recognition of a person in the public of the country. It is dependent on many factors.

Explanation

Generally in the developing countries the gender difference makes a huge difference in the political identity of males and females. In those countries females are supposed to be uneducated, careless and suppose to do only house keeping. The male candidate in the political system used to become famous among the public.

Yes a gender difference between males and females affect power relations among them. Males are supposed to have more powerful than females but only in the homes but if a female is sitting at a high post in the country like President or Prime Minister then she have more powers than a man sitting on the lower positions.

Like in India at the time when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister she had more powers than any man at lower rank.
