What is the importance of air bladder in fishes?

it is very important for fishes .
because it regulates the pressure
if it weren't there then fishes would have been crushed by deep sea pressure

in bony fishes air bladder acts a hydrostatic organ.so that fishes float easily at desired levels.it helps in vertical movement of fish.in some fishes it helps in respiration.
