What is the limitation in making antiviral drugs which does not apply to antibacterial drugs?

The bacteria have biochemical pathways. The antibiotics destroy the biochemical pathways, so, antibiotics are effective against bacterial diseases.

But, the Viruses lack biochemical pathways, so antibiotics are not effective against viral diseases.
