Without giving the movie plot away, at one point Zack Braff’s character is talking to an older gentleman about love. And he’s expressing his love for this gentleman’s daughter.

“Sir, I love your daughter!!”

But then he is interrupted and the gentleman says to him…

“What you feel only matters to you! It’s what you DO to the people you say you love, that’s what matters. It’s the only thing that counts!”.

The older gentleman is basically trying to school the young puppy, by explaining that love is about what you DO and not what you say...

Love is a tricky game, and people express love in different ways. Men and women don't tend to express "love" or appreciate love in the same way. So I’m going to share a few signals to keep your eye out for, when trying to determine what love looks like for you.
