Dilemma : A situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives, especially ones that are equally undesirable.

It can be used in a sentence like :

1) The new school rules have put counselors in a terrible dilemma.

2) He made an attempt to resolve the long-standing dilemma.

Usage : Dilemma  be used to describe a quandary or predicament which is confusing. Dilemmas cause bewilderment because they seemingly have no satisfying solution.
