doctrine of lapse was started by Lord Dalhousie

It is a policy of Lord curzon in which any king ruler who dont have any natural heir (son) died, then their Kingdom would go into British hand and if the ruler had an adopted son then the son can only enjoy the facilities of Kingdom but can't access the Throne.
