The poem patriot shows the downfall of a great hero at national level. The poet conveys a message that one who is overambitious or rises to a great height surely has a downfall later or soon. The poem also ends on an optimistic note conveying a message to the readers to alwsys believe in God and forgive the fellow men for their mistakes.
