Given :–

  • One number = 695
  • Subtract 1 millions from the multiples to give the remainder = 5,07,245.

To Find :–

  • Other number of multiple.

Solution :–

Let, the other number be x.

According to the question,

• 1 million = 10,00,000

⟹ 10,00,000 – 695x = 5,07,245

⟹ 10,00,000 – 5,07,245 = 695x

⟹ 4,92,755 = 695x

 \dfrac{\cancel{492755}}{\cancel{695}} = x

Cut the denominator (695) and the numerator (492755) by 5,

 \dfrac{\cancel{98551}}{\cancel{139}} = x

Divide the denominator (98551) and the numerator (139) by 139,

⟹ 709 = x

Hence,

The other number of multiple is 709.

Check :–

• 10,00,000 – 695 × 709 = 5,07,245

⟹ 10,00,000 – 492755 = 5,07,245

⟹ 5,07,245 = 5,07,245

Hence, the L.S.H. and the R.H.S. are equal.

So, the other multiple number is 709 is correct.
