What is the need for enactment of law for protection of nature?

Here are the following reasons --

1) The resources available in the nature is gradually getting exhausted. Many resources like minerals are in danger of getting exhausted if the current trend of exploiting continues.

2) It leads to pollution. Exploiting nature has harmed only us in the long run. There has been imbalances in the ecosystem and global climate.

3) Protection of species . Due to continuous exploitation of nature, many species are in danger of extinction.

4) Reduction of Global warming. Deforestation for our selfish needs has led to alarming rates of rising sea levels and melting of glaciers. If there will be no law for stopping attacks on nature then probably one day the Earth will go barren.
