There is a need for seed dispersal. If seeds are dispersed in the same place, the plants would be congested and wouldn't get enough water, carbon dioxide, nutrients and sunlight. If seeds are dispersed in different places, the plants will get enough water, carbon dioxide, nutrients and sunlight.

Hope it helps! :)

The need for seed dispersal:
Plants make seeds that can grow into new plants, but if the seeds just fall to the ground under the parent plant, they might not get enough sun, water or nutrients from the soil. Because plants cannot walk around and take their seeds to other places, they have to be dispersed properly,so that they grow up to a big tree ....

Hope it helps u!!
