⛽ Petroleum is found at moderate depth (500m-2000m) between the two layers of impervious rocks... The petroleum deposits usually found mixed with saline water.. Petroleum is lighter than saline water and hence, floats over it.. Natural gas is also found above the petroleum layer trapped between the rock cap and ⛽ petroleum layer...
