                             IMPULSE

we know that the momentum of a body is a quantity of motion possesed by a body.

it is equal to product of mass and velocity.

      i.e        p= m×v

now if we exerts some force on a body fro short duration of time,then how much that force changes the momentum of body is called      →impulse.←

→it is defined as the force acting for short time .

                          OR

→the product of force and short interval time is impulse of body.

                          OR

→it is defined as force time integral of a body.

so, we say,          IMPULSE=FORCE×TIME

                                 IMPULSE= F×Δt

now by impulse momentum theorem,

change in momentum of body is equal to applied impulse.

so,

                     impulse= Δ momentum
