The reason behind the repulsion of like poles:
====================================
If I go to find that what is the reason between repulsion of like first then we have to first know what is the poles and how it works.
If you're taking the example of magnet then we will find that pole of magnet.
then this post organised some magnetic field lines.
And we know that the magnetic field lines or magnetic flux are Move from north pole to south pole .
✴so now your condition comes.
when and magnetic field lines are electric flux which originates from the north pole then it intends to the move towards the South Pole
so,
when a magnetic field line and magnetic flux is moved towards towards south pole is come brought near to a magnetic magnet which have its north pole it this north poles ' direction.
So,the Magnetic field lines which originates with from one magnet's North pole.
and then also from other magnets north pole are tends to go towards south.

so, as to moving in same direction they are collided and this cause repulsion.
