what is the resistance of dry air

 air is an insulator but when it is dry. We can not pass current or charge through it when it is dry completely. So its resistance is taken to be infinity. But this is not true if the air is having humidity in it.Then it becomes good conductor. That is the reason when there is a rain atmospheric electricity comes towards the earth surface through air only from high potential to low potential
