as we know that whit colour is comprised of 7 colour VIBGYOR when rainfall ends few particle of water left in front of sun it lead to form rainbow .after rain you can see it by turning your face opposite to sun means you back should face towards sun

HEY MATE ..
The reason for formation of Rainbow is because of the DISPERSION phenomeno : The splitting of light unto 7 colours with help of a prisim. While raining the water droplets act as prisim. so when light pases through waterdroplet it disperses and form 7 different colour. Increase in Droplets leads to Increase In dispersion that leads to formation of rainbow.
