our stomach...HCl..has g8 role to play...as an acid...it..1

) kills the germs n the harmful bacteria c'min in the stomach along with food..

2)pepsigonen being released from the pancreas needs to be converted into into pepsin..n the work is done by HCl...

3) it makes the stomach medium acidic from alkaline...so that the pepsin gts the propitious medium to act...

the acid which is present in our stomach is called hydrochloric acid

1-it kills germs in the food

2-The acid HCL in stomach practically activates two enzymes, pepsinogen to pepsin and pro renin to renin. First is protein digesting and other is casein digesting (the protein of milk products).This acid also acts in primary defence mechanism to kill pathogens swallowed through food. When this acid travels some times up within food pipe it creates heart burn(seene me jalan) also.
