Interphase nuclease has a loose and indistinct network of nucleoprotein fibres called chromatin. Chromatin is packaged to form chromatin fibres that are further coiled and condensed at metaphase stage of cell division to form chromosomes. Chromatin contains DNA and some basic proteins called histones, some non-histones proteins and also RNA.
Gene is defined as the functional unit of inheritance or coding part of DNA which makes proteins.
So, DNA contains chromosomes, which contains genes which are located in the nucleus.
DNA is the genetic material which is responsible for the transfer of parents character to the progenies.

1⃣ Role of DNA ➡️The main role of DNA in the cellis the long-term storage of information.
It contains genetic material.
2⃣ Role of genes ➡️Genes provide instructions for making proteins, and proteins determine the structure and function of each cell in the body, it follows that genes are responsible for all the characteristics you inherit.
3⃣ Role of chromosomes➡️Each chromosome is made of protein and a single molecule of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Passed from parents to offspring, DNA contains the specific instructions that make each type of living creature unique.
