liver cells secretes bile whuch is a main component for digestion of fats this bile is stored in the gall bladder which is drown into the duodenum when the chyme enters through pyloric sphincter.

The only work of liver is to secrete bile juice , to make acidic food alkaline..
But, instead of it pancreas secretes pancreatic juices like trypsin, lipase and amylase.
The other function of pancreas is to secrete insulin.
