what is the theme of the poem (the road not taken )

The poem road not taken shows that once a choice has been made, you can't undo it. The author says that he took the path less taken because he was adventurous. But now, he regrets it and wishes that he revert his decision back. And through thus poem, he wants to convey that nothing a person can do which will undo that decision.

➩ The theme of the this poem is that the narrator being faced two choices and deciding which is a better choice to be made. He tells about the two choices in life through the 2 diverging roads of a forest.

➩ This poem tells that in life we always have to make a choice out of 2 choices. The struggle, thinking, etc is also told in it. According to the poem if we will take a wrong path then it's consequences can change a person's life. And the correct choice will make a great difference in that person's life like success, happiness,etc.

Robert Frost is the author of the above poem. Robert was an American poet born in 26th March,1874. His poems got published in America as well in England. He was awarded with the Pultizer prizes for his poetry. He was also awarded with the Congressional gold medal in 1960. In 29th January 1963 he took his last breath. He is named as " Poet Laureate of Vermont."
