deficiency of iodine directly reduces the amount of thyroxine and it leads to GOITRE disease. hence use of iodized salt advisable.

Iodised salt have iodine it which leads to production of thyroxine hormones for metabolism of carbohydrates fats and protein in deficiency of iodine leads to goiter that's why it is advisable to have iodised salt
