hey, here is your answer...
given, the eqn. is 2x^2 - 24x + 120 = 0
✍ x^2 - 12x + 60..., it is a quadratic eqn. so we can use the formula., i.e, [-b±√(b^2 - 4ac]÷2a...
✍ x = [-(-12) ± √{(-12)^2 - 4(1)(60)}] ÷ 2(1)...
✍ x = [12 ± √{144 - 240}] ÷ 2...
✍ x = [12 ± √{-96}] ÷ 2...
after..I dont know wat to do...sorryyyyy..
