Trade is an activity that involves buying and selling of goods and services. Trade is classified into 2 categories.

  1. Internal Trade: The trade is limited to the boundaries of a country. For example, a wholesaler buys firecrackers from a manufacturer in Tamilnadu & distributes them to retail shops in Delhi.
  2. External Trade: Trade that takes place between multiple countries. For example an exporter buys mangoes from Indian producers and sells them to Canadian supermarkets.
